i find it fitting that, ten years after the fact, they got to enjoy their trip. without you, and the way it always should have been. their little family looked perfect, framed by the eiffel tower.
i must remind myself that healing takes time. even when it occurs in the tiniest increments, i must trust that it is happening all the same.
i have nothing if i don't have hope.
